Now don’t get us wrong! It’s not as if we don’t like laptops/notebooks/eBooks etc, we have to use them ourselves in the field - it’s just that they have a few drawbacks compared to the average tower PC;-

• More expensive to buy for the same specification.
• They run hotter and therefore will usually have a shorter lifespan.
• They may breakdown more often/earlier in their life.
• Parts are much more expensive because they are so small or only made for that model
• Repairs tend to be more expensive because specialist tools/training/manuals are often required.

The above stated apart, we still sell quite a few because sometimes nothing else will do!

We have no preference in make because the best brands seem to have just as many problems as the cheaper ones, so the best advice here is to buy your laptop with at least a 3-year warranty.
